Mr. Thorwald has an exceptional thirty-five-year performance history as CEO, President, COO, VP, Advisor and Consultant. He has worked in 3 Presidential administrations working with the President, Cabinet officers, world leaders, senior executives in the corporate arena as well as Federal and state legislators, state agencies, commissions, task forces and community groups.
A former senior United States Department of Justice Advisor to two U.S. Attorney Generals Edwin Meese III and Dick Thornberg. Mr. Thorwald served as acting National Security Affairs Advisor to the U.S. Attorney General Dick Thornberg. Mr. Thorwald served as senior advisor to U.S. Assistant Attorney General Lois Harrington and Consultant / Advisor on Domestic Task Force initiatives.
He was Press Secretary to Michael Reagan and served as press and lead advance to President Ronald Reagan, Nancy Regan, Vice president George H. Bush and Barbara Bush; Mr. Thorwald was confidential Advisor to the co-chairs of George H. Bush presidential campaign.
He was Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs and Legislation at the U.S. Department of Education and Consultant to the Inspector General and Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Clarence Thomas.
He worked in the Office of Review and Oversight and the office of the Deputy Secretary of Defense Frank Carluchi as an Advisor on Public Affairs working with congress.
He represented the United States on diplomatic assignments to more than 67 nations, working with senior corporate and government officials including the Holy Sea.
Mr. Thorwald was appointed by The Governor to serve on the Arizona Governor’s Council on Workforce Policy; The Governors Transportation Vision 21 Task Force and worked with Native American communities.
He is currently Chairman on The Arizona Oil & Gas Conservation Commission; a member of ADOT Freight advisory group and First Vice Chairman of the Maricopa County Republican Party and a precinct committeeman.
He chaired the state Employers’ Advisory Council and advised the Governor and Director of the Department of Economic Security on statewide employment issues.
