Christopher Ames has 40 years of software industry experience ranging from programmer to senior executive. He is the President of Paragon Technology, Inc., a company he co-founded in 1983. Early clients included the Apache County Treasurer’s office and Trans World Airlines.
In 1992 he engaged a project management contract with ADS Communications, Inc. for the development of their field service product. Over the next 11 years he led the engineering team through several phases of expansion in product offering and corresponding revenue growth.
ADS was purchased by EFI (Electronics For Imaging, Inc.) in 2004, and Chris continued his responsibility as Chief Technology Officer for another 2 years.
Chris is a patented inventor and holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.
First Sergeant Ames retired after over 25 years of service in the US Air Force. His service included active duty from January 1971 through January 1975 and active reserve duty from July 1989 through April 2009. In 2008, he volunteered for one of the most challenging Air Force assignments in Afghanistan, First Sergeant with the 755th Air Expeditionary Group, where he was responsible for over 1,200 airmen working for the US Army at 42 locations across the most desolate parts of Afghanistan.
The Ames family has lived in the east valley since 1976. Chris was a member of the Capital and Development Fees subcommittee of the 2009 Town of Gilbert Citizen’s Budget Committee and is an original member of Gilbert’s Operation Welcome Home Committee.
